Expand your investigation -
into a written, visual (with text or voice articulation), PowerPoint, video, etc…. synapsis that uncovers the answer to these questions –
- Why did you choose to investigate this particular method?
- What is it about the brand/type/method of assessment that you chose to investigate is working? What isn’t working?
- What are the foci of the assessments?
- What is the data or evidence that is collected and how?
- To whom does this evidence go?
- Does this evidence assist in improving learning and teaching?
- Who benefits most from this type of assessment?
- How does this assessment encourage growth?
- How will this investigation assist you in the future?
In other words… after looking around at a few different assessment models, I hope that you have found some positives that you can use and share with all of us! Because we care about what we are doing, and sometimes we just don’t know how to handle the tasks, we look to those whom have found something that works, and sculpt it into something that will work for those whom we teach/coach/instruct/direct.
